The hotel is about 5-7 mins taxi ride from the main square. However is nestled between beautiful & lush green forests/ park. Great for morning hikes & runs. Breakfast at hotel was excellent. Breakfast was al a carte without restrictions on how many items you can order. Food was fresh and delicious. The Slovenian breakfast served was excellent ( cheese board with cold cuts , jams and hard boil eggs ) - the hotel also had a courtyard restaurant serving authentic food which was very pretty and great food. We booked the room with the kitchenette- rooms were up the stairs, kitchenette and shower down. Perfectly working AC, elevators. Hotel has a small park for kids and a small horse riding area . Very modern looking . Staff was helpful.

Only 600 metres from Ljubljana Central Market and 800 metres from Ljubljana Castle, Apartments Hiša Pod Gradom boasts an on-site restaurant with a terrace and a bar. Free WiFi is available. Breakfast was very good and the atmosphere great. The Restaurant underneath the accommodation was very good and reasonably priced. We ate there several times. The apartment was well set up and had a washing machine a bonus after travelling for 3 weeks before arriving plus ironing board👍. Just a short walk into the city. Great spot!
