Set in a Renaissance mansion from the 16th century, Chateau Appony is quietly situated in Oponice, 20 km away from Nitra. It offers free access to the wellness area with a pool, hot tub and 3 different saunas. Beautiful setting, breakfast was very good and varied. The restaurant for dinner was outstanding and the staff attentive and knowledgable. The hotel facilities are very good. The surrounding hikes made it even more appealing.

All rooms have parquet floors, and stylish wooden furniture and are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, free internet, a minibar and a safe. The spacious bathrooms have marble fittings and a bathtub. The hotel totally exceeded our expectations. It's a true, huge castle with long history and absolutely beautiful restoration. A real dream wedding place and we already want to go back. One night was too short. They were also very welcoming to our small dog and there was even a sleeping bed for her in the room with the castle's embroidery on it.
