This tent's special feature is the fireplace. The tent provides a private entrance, a seating area, a balcony with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The unit offers 1 bed.... The view over the valley was great. Very cozy and comfortable glamping with a great vibe. Kishan provides very good service and help, including arranging a perfect cooking learning experience next door. Well functioning bathroom and shower with hot water. We also had a full day tuk-tuk tour of Ellas interesting places with Kishan - at a very reasonable price. Plenty of chipmunks are climbing just outside the platform and a giant squirrel comes by every morning around 8am. Btw. Tip-top Sri Lanka breakfast (see picture)

Providing free toiletries and bathrobes, this tent includes a shared bathroom with a bath, a bidet and a hairdryer. The tent's kitchen, which has kitchenware, is available for cooking and storing... There’s nothing like this place! It really is like camping in the sky. Comfortable tent very cosy, plenty of privacy, great bathroom facilities, incredible food, and warm vibes! The host did everything to make sure I was comfortable. I loved the location, but it does require some scenic walking along the rail track to get there - the tuk tuk can’t take you all the way. I would recommend walking from the Ella train station along the tracks so you don’t need a tuk tuk at all - it’s only 15 min walk - and it’s safe, many locals walk along it, you will hear any incoming train for a long time before you see it. The lovely host helped me carry my bags along the track. Easy walking distance from Ella town too. A really unique must-do experience. And it’s only a 10 min walk to the 9 arch bridge!

The food was absolutely delicious—local, fresh, and full of flavor. Every meal felt like a true taste of the region. The host was incredibly attentive and reachable 24/7. Even when there was a miscommunication about our guide’s departure time, I was able to reach them at 5:30 AM, and they immediately helped us sort things out. That level of dedication made our stay feel effortless. The tent and accommodations were spotless, offering the most breathtaking view I’ve ever experienced from a tent. We had a direct view of the waterfall, which we later visited and even stood on top of—an unforgettable moment. While the stay may feel a bit more expensive, it’s worth every penny if you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime, comfortable experience in nature. One of the highlights was hiking to Ella Rock early in the morning. The hotel has a backroute to the trail, and their guide took us along with so much care—helping us over rocks and steps while letting us go at our own pace. It made the hike feel safe, enjoyable, and truly special. The people here are genuinely warm and hospitable. Getting to Ella town was easy, as the hotel arranged tuk-tuks at very reasonable prices whenever we needed. They also organized a seamless pickup from the train station, making our journey stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and incredible hospitality, this place is a must-visit!

Where to start... this place is magical! We ended up at Vitajs camp by chance and it turned out to be our favorite days in Sri Lanka!!! If you like nature, remote camping, hiking and a bit of adventure it is more then perfect. The camp is located on a tea farm, only accessible via foot, so it's so calm and peaceful, really a piece of heaven. You can come from haputale via tuktuk, leave big bags at the house on top of the hill and just bring what you need for the night down to the camp. CAVE: You should be comfortable with walking, no electricity and cold water, if not, it's probably not for you. If yes, you will have the greatest time, Viraj and his family are the nicest and most welcoming people we've met in Sri Lanka so far. He speaks perfect English and is super open minded and a fun guy, so you can hang out with him at the nightly campfire, chat and learn lots about Sri Lanka culture. And the food his mum cooks... just amazing, also best I've had so far, no lie. 11/10.

Each room has a private bathroom. was absolutely amazing! the location, the rooms, everything was perfect. the owner was very kind, we loved her pets, especially her dog bubbly. we also had breakfast in the morning that included pancakes, fruit, eggs, bread, coffee, everything was perfect.
