From the moment we met Larbi there was an instant connection. His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

Absolutely stunning what these young guys managed to build there in the desert. Luxurious and very clean tents, beautifully decorated with nice carpets and cushions. They even managed to build a fully functioning private toilet, sink with running water and shower inside the tents. Mohammed, his brother and friends run the camp and have been fantastic hosts, very friendly, kind and funny. For dinner we had a wonderful meal of delicious zaalouk and other freshly made salads, the best beef tajine we have ever tasted and a lovely dessert. Breakfast the next day was also excellent. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy and experience the desert, which in itself was breathtakingly sensational.

Staying two nights with Younas, Hamid and Rasheed was easily the shining highlight of our three week trip to Morocco. These wise, young, generous men couldn’t have done anything more to warm our hearts, enrich our experience or increase our comfort. They went above and beyond in every way, we absolutely adored them, the accommodation and the magic of their dunes, camels, food, etc. Highly recommend - if we ever make it back, we would love to see them and stay with them again!!

Deze kamers zijn 24 m² groot. Sahara Luxury Camp ligt in Zagora en biedt accommodatie met gratis privéparkeren. Sommige units hebben een eethoek en/of een balkon. Mohammed (en zijn crew) deed het fantastisch, zetten een gezellige sfeer neer, kamelentocht is een aanrader, eten was goed en met het kampvuur in de avond maken ze het echt tot een onvergetelijke ervaring!

The tent offers a private entrance, a seating area, a terrace with garden views as well as a shared bathroom featuring a shower. The location is amazing. We could see the desert from our tent and take a 5 minutes walk to get between the dunes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The staff know how to welcome you. We will keep good memories from the food and the camp fire with music. Our kids (9 and 11) loved it and would love to come back.

Uitstekende ontvangst en super maaltijden. De kinderen vonden het verblijf fantastisch en voor ons was het contact met de gastheer super.

This tent has a kitchen, washing machine and private entrance. Chegaga Berber Camps is gelegen in M'Hamid en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Amazing experience in the dunes of Erg Chigaga. The location just in the middle of the dunes is perfect and very relaxing. Mohammed was very friendly and nice. The transfer to the camp was interesting as we were going through a desert storm so it took over 2 hours. On the way back, it took 1.5 hours. Transfer was for 90€. I would definitely go to this camp again for more nights. 🙂
