There's a beautiful waterhole on the property and even saw elephants and hippos at night. Amelia and Antoine were most welcoming.

The tented room is very roomy and comfortable with a large bathroom and AC. The staff, especially Kennedy and our guide Patrick, Cassius, and Melody, Presley (sorry, I don't recall all the names) are all wonderfully courteous and attentive. Every trip out on the river is magical. We saw so many animals and the river is just beautiful. There is something very serene about seeing animals from the boat. The free laundry was so helpful. After more than 2 weeks of travel, it was nice to be able to pack our bags with all clean clothes on our return journey home.

Las habitaciones miden 20 m². El Shametu River Lodge se encuentra a orillas del río Okavango, a 6,5 km de Divundu, y ofrece vistas a las cataratas del Popa. Hay aparcamiento privado gratuito. Great welcome. Absolutely fantastic for birds and wildlife. Could easily spend hours enjoying the stunning view from the room and grounds. Everyone friendly and helpful, the manageress was lovely, coming to speak with us at meals. Sundowner Boat trip fabulous, great guide. To have the amazing Mahangu Core Reserve only 15 minutes away was excellent, Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo and so much more. The food was delicious, catering for our vegetarian diet. For birders the views of Rock Pratincoles just incredible, I saw over 150 species of bird in a day in this area. Would love to return again.

Each on stilts with en-suite bathroom facilities (shower only) strategically placed for privacy with a deck overlooking the water channel. lodge building was excellent. Food great
