AustraliaThe property was beautiful in a reserved old building style. The breakfast room/dining room was gorgeous and the furnishings were stunning. Staff were lovely. It was just a few hundred metres to the Windermere strip shops, had private off road parking and the £3pp each way bus to Bowness where the lake cruises leave from was only a couple of hundred metres away. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful with the luggage.

IrelandOur lake view room was large, and very comfortable. Fabulous scenery, just sit and enjoy the entire vista. A big bathroom with both bath and shower, and a magnified mirror....(I love that for putting on the makeup!)
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, 100% to the breakfast chef and staff, all the staff were friendly and courteous and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant, again it was really lovely, and the waiter was very helpful in recommending a wine to compliment our main course.
Will definitely stay here on our next visit to the beautiful Lake District.
