We stayed at the other Villa in February so we were very surprised there's another Villa when we visited Jogja again. We had a really nice stay and awesome experience before and this time, even more. Upon check-in, the staff (we didn't manage to get her name) realized that we were having a hard time understanding their bahasa so she did the whole check-in in English. She was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. All the staffs were efficient and always willing to help whenever we needed it. They were exceptionally polite and gracious. Room was extremely clean and just amazing. They had towels, vanity & dental kits, bottled water and coffee sachets. The pool area had a nice ambience and very relaxing. Just to take note that you have to request for iron & iron board as it is not provided in the room.

Boasting an outdoor pool and spa, the hotel shares the same grounds as Ambarrukmo Museum, a famous shopping area. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was a lovely big size, with a setee to sit on, and lots of cupboards so we could keep the room tidy. A decent sized desk was also provided. The room had a lovely calming ambience. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 1960s building. The foyer is spacious and beautifully kept. The breakfast buffet included European as well as extensive and delicious Indonesian foods, with Japanese and Chinese influenced offerings. The hotel staff were delightful, always welcoming and going to great effort to help with any request. Duty Manager Canggih was so helpful throughout our stay. The entire hotel had a beautiful decor, and includes some very large original mosaics well worth seeking out. We used the gym and pool, both well kept and generous sized. Proximity to Ambarukmo shopping mall next door (no road to cross) was a great bonus and we we travelled there often to eat and shop. We were fortunate to have Executive Lounge access with our room, which was such a great addition. It was quiet and beautiful, with attentive staff, and our complimentary cocktails were the equal of anywhere. Another thing to note which aded to the decor was that all of the plants (there were many) are REAL. Delightful!!! AND there were hotel grounds with trees and places to quietly sit, as well as a beautiful old traditional Joglo pavillion and a pool and pavilion where the Sultan used to sit while his wives and children bathed below! This hotel had everything needed for a comfortable pampered stay. Thoroughly recommended!!

Accommodation for disabled guests is also available at the property. The apartment is big, has big windows and has all the basics: water, Internet and good WiFi. It looks exactly like in the fotos. However, the check in and check out system is super inefficient. There is a receptionist who speaks VERY basic English and doesn't provide any instructions on how to open the door (I struggled), the WiFi password or anything at all. I had to text them through booking to get the WiFi password. To be fair, they replied to me very quickly. Then at the check out, I left the apartment at 8:30am by giving the key to the same man, and when I landed in Kuala Lumpur, I had a message from the hotel saying they didn't have the key in the reception! Definitely, they need to improve their check in/out system urgently.
