Upon arrival my hostess was quick to come and meet me outside making me feel very welcome. My room was very spacious with room to spread out my large suitcase on the extra bed. A full spread for tea and coffee was set in my room including biscuits and proper tea cups & saucers. There was milk (not artificial whitener) for my tea in a fridge that we could also use for our food. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows as well as all the linens and towels were great quality. The common spaces were modern and comfortable. And the hostess checked in before I went to bed. Great location to a lovely beach I wish I had booked this property for more than one night.

Anne is the most attentive host from arrival until departure. Breakfast of choice was excellent. En-suite room spotless and all amenities provided. The shampoo was top-notch. Quiet and peaceful location with plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as some small grocery stores.

The room was very spacious, comfortable and very clean. The owner was very kind and friendly, always greeting and smiling. Breakfast menu was very awesome, we where able to order anything we like. would highly recommend.

Hillside Lodge is beautifully located, just a couple of kilometres outside Clifden, on the Sky Road, which has breathtaking views! I got a lovely warm welcome from Ruth and was blown away by my room, which had a U2 theme, and was beautifully decorated, with such attention to detail! Even the corridor outside the room is a music gallery with so much memorabilia to view! It's plain to see that Ruth and Stuart give their all to make their B&B unique. I've stayed in many places, but this place stands out, for sure. Beautifully cooked breakfast too. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Clifden Bay Lodge ligt in Clifden, op 8,6 km van Alcock & Brown Memorial en 22 km van Kylemore Abbey. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, een tuin met een terras en uitzicht op de zee. On our trip to Ireland we stayed in five airbnbs. Clifden Bay Lodge was, by far, the best. Location, view, comfort were very good. Small things, like good size, clearly labeled containers of shampoo and soap that did not require flashlight to read helped. Breakfast was memorable with home baked pastries. The owner made the place special.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. Exceptionally high standard of guest accommodation, absolute comfort, attention to every detail, comfortable furniture, spacious rooms, beautiful furnishings, artwork, small details that received very careful attention. I have travelled in over 30 countries, have stayed in many B&Bs and occasionally in 5-star hotels, but never found a place that equalled the careful thought that has been put into the accommodation at Buttermilk Lodge in Clifden. We will certainly return and we have taken the business cards provided to share with all our friends. Having a private lounge/kitchen in addition to ensuite bedroom was wonderful, with large TV in both rooms. Our hostess, Catriona, had left very welcome food in the frig -including orange juice, milk, plenty of butter, jam and marmalade - and we greatly appreicated her home-made brown bread and fruitcake - which was really thoughtful and generous. The fact that Buttermilk Lodge provides conditions for self catering in a private lounge with fully equipped kitchen, made our stay less expensive than if we were eating out every day. This accommodation is very conveniently located to Clifden town and access to all the wonders of the Connemara landscape and coastal resorts.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with 13 friends from all over the United States. We all stayed within Clifden town and enjoyed a night all together on the beautiful deck. Loved the location and kitchen/deck space. So convenient to all the shops, pubs, restaurants, and grocery store. Gerard was wonderful to work with- friendly and very responsive. It is an older home which some might not like but we loved it and would come back time and again.

Ben Gower is gelegen in Glentrasna, op 35 km van National University of Galway en 36 km van St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, in een omgeving waar je kunt fietsen. We both loved our 3 night stay at Ben Gower. The house was very well equipped and so cosy. We slept really well as the rooms so quiet and dark. The cottages are at the end of a long fairly steep lane, so they really are very peaceful. Even the black faced sheep that amble about around the grassy areas don’t seem to make any noise! There was lots of space for guest parking and with several cottages available to rent this would be a perfect retreat for a group of family or friends. We would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely quiet location just 10 mins drive to the nearest village. Rory the owner was very helpful and gave us plenty of advice on where to visit. We had a great few days exploring with the family. The Power Thatch restaurant:pub is a must for traditional Irish food and Clancys is great for brunch and traditional Irish music 👍👍
