I enjoyed my time here from the food they served to the relaxing Onsen and overall atmosphere of the place. For dinner we had a type of hot pot dish with plenty of vegetables, chicken, and other side dishes that tasted delicious. As for breakfast it was an even better dish to eat first in the morning, it was a light breakfast of seasoned soft tofu and a side of fish and and egg. Both meals were plenty enough to feed a party of 4 and even more since I saw other groups that had more people. The Onsen itself was relaxing, clean, and well kept. My group planned this Onsen in the middle of our trip and it felt like a refresh of ourselves, the Onsen was kept hot and our rooms were how we expected it to be. In the lobby there's a vending machine for additional drinks if you plan on it. Overall a nice place to stay in for a night and the travel to ti was convenient. They provide a shuttle service from the bus stop to their front entrance.

We directly felt like we were at home, they were both so welcoming and helpful (we were picked up at the nearby station and were driven to the house by car). The room was really comfortable and warm. The breakfast prepared by Yukie was just perfect and she adapted to my dietary restriction without any problem (I don't eat meat). They took the time to hang out with us in the living room and shared their experience and bits of advice on places to see in the area. I am beyond grateful to have found this special place near Nara and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to see a bit of Japanese countryside outside of the touristy places. Bonus point : their cats and baby goats are super cute !

If you’re looking to escape the crowds of the city and spend a few relaxing days surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Just about 1.5 hours from Kyoto and close to beautiful temples, you can enjoy peaceful walks through rice fields and really take in the charm of rural Japan. We arrived a bit early, but Rieko was so helpful and immediately assisted us with our luggage. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet—exactly what we needed. Within walking distance, you’ll also find authentic Japanese restaurants and a lovely farmers’ market with great local products. It was absolutely worth the price, and we only wish we had stayed longer!

It is truly Michelin star quality, burst with flavors and endless. The breakfast is amazing too. The place is not far from nearest metro station and the host was very kind to give us a lift. He also brought us to bamboo forest in the morning and gave a tour of the area nearby. 御苦労様。

Very nicely equipped (nice kitchen with tasty cafe machine, sauna, bathtub, 2 showers, washing machine). Owner is really really nice and more than helpful. Everything was very clean. Close to Ginkakuji, Philosophy Path and Fushimi Inari. One should communicate with the owner, if you are a bit of overweight like myself, if one more mattress under the futon is needed.
