Situated in Minamiizu and only 100 metres from Yumigahama Beach, Villa Yumigahama features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. This holiday home provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The holiday home has family rooms. the cabins are beautifully build, high up in between the trees. The inside is mainly made of wood, the sealings are high, with a large table and with the partly tatami floor they are the perfect combination of Western and Japanese style. The terrace is very large and perfect for eating outside. We both tried the complimentary bbq and the pizza oven and loved the experience. We stayed in the tree house and we had our own outlook post with view of the sea and a hammock. The location is also close to a beautiful beach and some nice walking trails and there is so much to see and do on the peninsula we could have easily enjoyed ourselves for two weeks. Unfortunately we only had 6 days, but both us and our kids enjoyed the experience very much.

We ordered a Fuji facing room but were very disappointed to see that the room on the 6th floor’s view was blocked by a high rise building about half a kilometer away. I asked the receptionist if we could have a higher floor, and after a 10 minute search, said we could have the 10th floor room but it would cost an extra 2,000 yen ($12). Of course we agreed and the honest receptionist asked if we really wanted it, as the forecast the next day was cloud and rain, and did we really want to spend the money. We said the weather was our problem, no fault to him, and yes, we would take it. Lucky for us, the next morning we woke to a glorious view of Mt. Fuji, in a comfortable, clean room, with a high regard to the honesty and integrity of the reception personel. We enjoyed the Western breakfast as opposed the the Japanese breakfast, especially as it was served to us in a Japanese styled private room, overlooking a beautiful pond, where we saw the children feed the Koi fish on the way to school

Rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors and river or garden views. Absolutely stunning location. Beautiful historic building, spotlessly clean and comfortable with incredibly kind and friendly staff. The onsen baths were lovely and the peace and tranquility were very special. The meals were fantastic - two of our party don’t eat fish and the hotel went out of their way to provide delicious and varied alternatives. The staff who looked after meal service were so friendly and helpful, explaining how to eat the more complicated courses.
