Free shuttle service from Futo Station or Jōgasaki - Kaigan Station is available between 3PM and 5:30PM only and upon prior request. This was our 2nd visit and we had another fantastic stay. The location is perfect for a relaxing weekend, really scenic and beautiful sea views. 
The open-air bath is the main appeal for us, followed closely by the food (dinner is a must if you stay here, definitely book as it's a highlight). The staff (shoutout to Uehara-san) are also super warm and helpful. We’ll definitely be returning again.

Great location, close to everything , very convenient from the train station, beautiful and traditional ryokan, with a lovely sea view room. The staff was very considerate and helpful , a big thank you ! The welcome matcha tea and wagashi, was a delicate attention , we loved it ! The onsen was such a delight after a long day discovering the area. I highly recommend Sakura Ryokan when you are in Atami !

This holiday home provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The holiday home has family rooms. the cabins are beautifully build, high up in between the trees. The inside is mainly made of wood, the sealings are high, with a large table and with the partly tatami floor they are the perfect combination of Western and Japanese style. The terrace is very large and perfect for eating outside. We both tried the complimentary bbq and the pizza oven and loved the experience. We stayed in the tree house and we had our own outlook post with view of the sea and a hammock. The location is also close to a beautiful beach and some nice walking trails and there is so much to see and do on the peninsula we could have easily enjoyed ourselves for two weeks. Unfortunately we only had 6 days, but both us and our kids enjoyed the experience very much.

Featuring sea views, Watei Kazekomichi provides accommodation with balcony, around 2.2 km from Atami Sun Beach. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Guests can use the hot spring bath and the open-air bath, or enjoy mountain views. It was better than imagined. The staff are extremely nice, the rooms are amazing and so are the views. Dinner and breakfast felt perfect and it was all for a great price.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. Wonderful family run Auberge with beautiful comfy beds overlooking the forest. Lovely baths with gorgeous toiletries. A little out of town but a shuttle is offered for transportation. Fabulous dinner with a very unusual but delicious wine pairings. Breakfasts were delicious.

Mars Garden Wood Gotenba promises its guests relaxing spa treatments, a hot spring bath and karaoke rooms, only a 10-minute drive from Gotenba Premium Outlet. It has a lush garden, a sauna and 2 restaurants. Rooms offer free wired internet, and some boast a hot spring bath. The hot spring facility is really good. The room size we stayed is above our expectation. And the parking is free.

Located in the centre of Takayama city, Machiyado ICHIRYU offers comfortable accommodation on just a 5-minute walk from the Old Town. The non-smoking hotel features 3 beautiful private hot spring baths and free Wi-Fi. Guests at ICHIRYU can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks at the Premium Lounge. The staff were super nice, the food was amazing, and the room was incredible! 100/10
