Staff can help arrange green fees at local golf courses and a variety of sightseeing tours. We love the view, the room, the food, the staff and we will return at some other point in time. We stayed there because of bad weather, our ferry was delayed.

At the hotel, every room has a wardrobe. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom with a shower, while some rooms also boast a balcony and others also feature city views. This hostel is actually a student residence, which rooms are rented out to tourists in the summer. I had a large double room with plenty of space, which was nice. The bathroom was also larger than expected, but the shower was quite tight for some reason. Free parking was a nice perk. The hostel is in a quiet area. I noticed that it's wheelchair-friendly: ramp outside, elevator, and staircase lift for an intermediate floor. Downtown Mandal isn't very big so it's easy to walk anywhere, and they have maps (and good advice) at the front desk.

The Grimstad Maritime Museum and the seaside are just a short walk away. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of warm and cold foods, muesli and cereals and very good coffee. Couldn’t have been better. The hotel was super clean and the personnel extremely helpful. We had a wonderful stay and plan to stay here again.
