This 150 year-old residence is surrounded by a garden with a swimming pool and offers view of Sintra’s Moorish Castle. All rooms are simply decorated, and some have unique bathrooms with colourfully painted tiles. we chose this property at the last minute, with no research and 100% based on the outside appearance. And thank God for that! it’s incredibly charming and well located and well priced. I felt so at home there and wish I could have stayed more than one night. It was my favorite property in Portugal, and the only one to which I really want to return.

Relax in our lush botanical gardens, featuring magnificent lakes and waterfalls, nestled in the historic center of Cascais. Casa Vela Boutique offers an outdoor SPA experience with a wood-burning Finnish sauna, a massage room, a cold plunge tank, and a heated outdoor pool. This was a wonderful stay. The place is quiet, very private, drowning in the lush greens, the territory is well kept, the little pond with ducks has become our place to go to after breakfast. We also had a lovely small terrace with a table, benches and lounge chairs. The staff is professional and welcoming. The breakfast included eggs, toast, vegetables and fruits, and everything you can only imagine. It was a pleasure. We had a great rest! Planning to return:)

A breakfast to die for and a price that surprised us. When back in Cascais, this is my place to stay.
