We stayed for just one night on the way. But it's definitely a charming and very tidy hotel in a beautiful location. Their staff is especially great. They waited for us after working hours, helped us order food from a nearby pizzeria, and waited for the delivery so they could bring it to our room. Superb service! The breakfast was really plentiful.

Location is great, in Ilmenau's center and a 5 minute walk from the train station, a bit of German proficiency is needed to do the Check-in, but other than that, everything was woderful, nice staff, clean rooms, and the breakfast was delicious.
