The room was a good size, modern, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, I really liked the two chairs in the room. The bathroom was large and spotlessly clean. I also really appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. I'd not hesitate to stay there again.

We were looking for a location close to the airport to sleep for the night for our morning flight, so in that sense it was the perfect location. Very clean facility and everything looks new and carefully selected. Check in and out is easy and simple. When we encountered a problem with our room, the owner was there in 3 minutes to help us, so a plus point for that also. (Just don't leave the key in the room when you go to the kitchen like we did 😄)

We got a free upgrade to the hotel rather than the guesthouse so can't comment on the rooms there, but the hotel was lovely and the breakfast that is included with both was great! Delicious and good variety. Free parking and easily accessible

The guesthouse is warm, comfortable and perfectly located for the blue lagoon, volcano hikes and as a getaway into southern iceland. It's only 25 min drive from the aiport. We stayed for 2 nights in room N1 on the ground floor, with two twin beds and one bunk bed. Everything is spotlessly clean, quiet and good. I was a bit worried about sharing situation, but with 2 showers and 3 toilets for 7 bedrooms, we had no problems. Kitchen has everything you can possibly want for breakfast and more: eggs to cook your own style, cheese sreads, cold cuts, cereal, jams and peanut butter, tea, coffee, fruit, soda, juices... We had a volcano hike in the morning and the blue lagoon in the evening. It was a perfect combo! Grindavik has Netto supermarket and a couple of nice eateries - we had very nice fish&chips and burgers at Papa's. Hopsnes is only 10 min drive from the guesthouse and is an amazing volcanic peninsula with an orange lighthouse and rusty ship wrecks - totally out of this world and highly recommended.

What a lovely and charming little house! We just had a short night before an early flight, but we would have loved to spend more time there as it was really cosy.

Set 5 km from Blue Lagoon, Guesthouse Grund provides accommodation and free WiFi in Grindavík. Some units also have a kitchen equipped with an oven and a microwave.
