We booked very late notice due to flight delay and getting into Colombo late. He cooked us traditional Sri Lankan food and it was absolutely superb! He was kind and very accommodating. A very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend. He also organised a well priced taxi to Sigiriya in the morning

A fantastic place located just 5 minutes from Maharagama Town by tuk-tuk. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is calm and quiet, providing a peaceful stay. The room was spotlessly clean, and the place was easy to find on Google Maps. We look forward to visiting again!

Absolutely amazing experience! I recommend also taking a tour of the house before your stay, as there are many interesting things to see. The stay itself was wonderful, and the staff were very kind and friendly. In the evening, the atmosphere of the house is beautiful, and the sunrise is just as stunning. Highly recommended for architects and art lovers!

Staying at 55TG boutique from April 2nd to 3rd, 2025, was the perfect way to conclude our Sri Lankan adventure. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We arrived early from Tangalle, and the staff kindly allowed us an early check-in to our room, the "Art Suite with a beautiful Garden View". It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. We initially found the wifi signal weak, but our host, Dilshan, immediately demonstrated his exceptional attentiveness by bringing a router directly to our room, which resolved the issue completely – we had a great connection afterwards! The service from Dilshan and his crew throughout our stay was outstanding; their attentiveness made us feel like we were guests in a 5-star restaurant. The food was another major highlight. While seafood wasn't available on the menu during our short stay, the team was very accommodating and even offered to purchase alcohol externally for us if needed. We had lunch, dinner, and breakfast there, and everything was absolutely delicious. The fish curry and rice at dinner was genuinely the BEST meal we had during our entire trip! They even made the setting incredibly romantic, decorating our table with rose petals. As if that wasn't enough, they surprised me on my birthday morning! I certainly wasn't expecting techno birthday music to accompany my scrumptious breakfast – it was such a fun and unexpected touch. It made our early departure for the airport feel even more bittersweet, and we truly wished we could have tipped Dilshan and the staff more generously for their fantastic service. The grounds were quiet and private, contributing to a very peaceful atmosphere and a great night's sleep. Our stay felt far too short but was simply wonderful. Our sincere compliments and thanks to everyone at 55TG boutique for making our stay so memorable and special. It was the perfect ending. (P.S.

What an absolutely lovely stay. My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. We arrived at Sayura House at the tail end of our Sri Lanka trip with some part of our 13-people family. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and hospitable, the space was beautiful, and the inhouse restaurant food was fantastic. Highly recommended stay!

Looking for history without kitsch I discovered this discrete Guesthouse . Away from the crowds of Colombo, the spacious room and antique charm gave me a fantastic rest after exploring Sri Lanka’s capital. With all the qualities of a classic hotel I could enjoy style and comfort while maintaining the privacy of home.

Clean and comfortable and friendly. Big room and birth room very cleaned.

Very Clean, hardworking, know what they are doing, safe, quiet, very generous friendly , a bit strict ..new house and furnitures Just need to remind guests to not stay up late and know different time zones, walls quite thin, epecially room with no window have to rely on that window or also opening the door. It is like a home Christian family They wash clothes for everyone, using her washing machine and clean evey two days, change sheets every 4 days. Tap water in sri lanka can be boiled using water heater , drinkable. But taste a bit different , because i have been living amongst nature mountains less people strict country. Must wait around 10-30 minutes sometimes to book tuktuk which is safer and quite cheap.. Supermarkets, markets , restaurants walking about 20-40 minutes. 2 minutes from nearest self-owned minimart, everyday in morning and evening bread tuktuk cost around 100rupees each, vegetarian and non vegetarian. normally the minimart before the temple white wall, will be the final location of the uber, pickmeup. No wifi tissue paper for long term guests, they can be expensive in sri lanka. Most local restaurants eat by hands, there are sink tap water soap Quite safe, as a foreigner, there will be people looking, taking photos, smiling , teasing, getting close. I suggest wear mask at the city, buses are very polluted. Try to relax, prwy chant. not all drivers are bad drivers. Public toilets can be clean, not so clean and not clean. Nice lakes, parks, rice fields about 30-40 minutes of tuktuk. Colombo can be expensive so best know in advance how many days or weeks, i saw when i arrived 3000rupees, now 5000rupees. I have great time, happiness kindness supports encouragment positivity faith . Roads can be bumpy with up down small slopes to reduce speed, if you arent good with motorbike, i really dont really recommend. Sri lanka can be quite dark at night, with beautiful fireflies. Many small holes rocks. Roads up down hill, do not cycle in city.

I recently stayed at The Colombo House and had a great experience. The place was clean, comfortable, and located conveniently. What truly made my stay memorable was the kind uncle who was working there. He was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed, and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a warm and hassle-free stay in Colombo!
