When it comes to feel like at home the Casa Gwendoline definitely can be called a second home. The owner of the property warmly greets you, shows you around the facilities and explains some rules. She is reachable by phone if needed something. The house has a beautiful living room with even a foot massage machine! My feet after 37km hike needed that and after a very hot day. The kitchen is equipped with all possible utensils you would have at your own home. The host provides also food, wine, beer and other drinks that are in the fridge for a certain money amount which you can leave in the money box. That is such a genuine thought that after all my travel experiences I never came across it. As the market is far away the owner thought of that even. Small gestures make the difference. The sunsets to watch from the balcony are also magical and you can see Spain across the hills.

After a long, hot day walking the Camino Portugues into Viana, 3 Marias was an oasis! This is a really lovely, spacious residence, with good sized bedroom & bathroom. The dining area, kitchen, lounge & outdoor lower grounds are all well proportioned & provisioned. The BIG bonus for us was the wonderful pool. Heaven for fatigued & overheated peregrinos!! 3 Marias is a handy 10 min walk to the Monte St Luzia funicular & 15-20 min walk into the attractive old centre. We'd happily stay at 3 Marias Residence again, and highly recommend to others.
