The owners & staffs are very kind. Beautiful traditional mansions, bedding is clean and comfortable. The room is decorated with beautiful props. The dinner served with wine enjoyed on the terrace was excellent, and it was a meal that made you feel that all the food was carefully prepared. There was no elevator, but there was no difficulty moving the luggage some stairs. Thank you to the staff for moving the luggages.

Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

He welcomed us with warmth and care, showing generosity in everything – from recommendations to pleasant surprises. It was obvious he poured his heart into creating this place. The apartment itself was incredibly cozy and thoughtfully equipped: a fully stocked kitchen, a spacious living room, and many important little details. It was the perfect retreat for relaxation. I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The room and common areas were very clean and well-maintained. The owners are incredibly caring and always go above and beyond to assist with anything you need, making you feel truly welcomed. The room itself was very comfortable. Additionally, the convenience of having on-site parking made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
