We got a room with a terrace (pool view). Staff is friendly,well speak English. There is a nice garden behind the pool with lots of orange trees and same oranges (and juice) are served during breakfast. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the terrace and garden a lot. The beach nearby is nice and with a fantastic green park alongside.

Amazing for relax on vacation. Good personal, caring of your needs, clear blue pool. Ocean in 5 mins of walking, ecotrails, beach with golden sand, a lot of cafes and restaurants. Hope to see you again

Quinta Baltazar is a truely remarkable place. From the moment you enter the gates you know you have found something special. I can say without a shadow of a doubt the Quinta has the most comfortable beds and best shower we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful, and an amazing rest is guaranteed. The quality of the linen, towels, and bathroom fittings is remarkable. The pool area is a dream, with comfy lounges and fresh towels always available, and only the sounds of doves and the occasionally donkey in the distance. Frederique and Sandrine could not be more attentive, helpful hosts. From providing an incredible fresh breakfast daily at a time that suited us, to recommending restaurants and beaches, and even posting postcards for us, we could not be more impressed with the service and quality of the Quinta. We didn’t want to leave! We will dream of the day we can return to Quinta Baltazar.

Great location, far out, but in 20 minutes at the coast and the next town Extremely quiet and perfect for a few relaxing days. Xana and Miguel have been such wonderful hosts, always available if you have any needs, but still 100% privacy. We would love to come back in the near future

My room was bright, comfortable, air-conned with my own bathroom (not something I always find in guesthouses). Located directly in the middle of Tavira, everything needed is 1 minute away (just be aware of the 2 sets of stairs that greet you in a well lit little hallway). The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and watch the festival activities down below, with a great view of the city. The kitchen had water, and some drinks you could buy, but the microwave was fantastic to use. A doctor just below you, it seriously was one of the best places I've stayed. However. The staff members. 100000 sound. I was very sick at the start of my journey, and the staff took their time to take care of me, one even bringing me chicken soup to help me feel better, and called me a doctor. You would not get this treatment in a hotel. I was so grateful for them. Genuinely at the top of my list of kind staff, and I hope I'll see them again next year when I return. Thank you Formosa Guesthouse for such a hospitable stay.
