It was clean and the family setting was exactly what we were looking for. The home cooked meals breakfast and dinner were delicious. We enjoyed the late afternoon walks down to the black sandy beach.

The house is so beautiful! The location is great, although the surrounding area (streets) is still under construction so it can be rough terrain to walk through to the main village if you are not able to walk well. Spectaculair view of the sea and the waves crashing on the rocky coast. Breathtaking! House is clean and well maintained. Garden too. Multiple rooms are rented out and you share the kitchen, living room and outside area with swimming pool. The coast in town has a little beach but is more a place where the locals put there fishing boats in the water. Sometimes someone swims there and that is possible but it is dark brown beach sand and quite big waves, so we didn’t swim in the sea there. If you rent a car somewhere you would be able to visit other places in the island from Cidade Velha. Staff very friendly and stay out of your way. We didn’t take the breakfast, but there is the possibility. The caretaker showed us the way to the village and the small supermarket shops for some groceries. There isn’t much available, but Praia is very close by (you can take a local white transportation van for only a euro into Praia on the main road) and it is a very nice place to stay away from the big town. We stayed in multiple places in Santiago and thought this was the most beautiful location to stay in the island.

KAZARÃO DI MAVETE- Guesthouse está frente a la playa en Praia, a 13 min a pie de Praia Negra y a 200 metros de Justice Palace. I like the joy and good mood of the owner. And he is kind. He makes sure that the place is clean all the time. You really feel at home. I also like the welcoming drink and Nespresso in the living room. Eddy, you are the best.

A Casa da Mizi se encuentra en Praia, a 12 min a pie de Praia Negra, y ofrece salón de uso común, habitaciones libres de humo, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y terraza. Very comfortable shared apartment. Very clean too, and the staff is available 24h. We didn't use the ventilator as the open window let in a perfect breeze. The best part was the new shower with warm water.

Kaza Awa - Urban Guesthouse se encuentra en Praia, a 8 min a pie de Praia de Quebra Canela, y ofrece vistas a la ciudad. The air conditioner was really good, everything very clean and well organised. Sonia was really nice with us.

Syd's Guesthouse está en Praia y dispone de wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. Cerca del alojamiento hay puntos de interés como Praínha, Maria Pia Lighthouse y Diogo Gomes Monument. Delicious breakfast and staff was very friendly.
