The accommodation is non-smoking. Everything was absolutely spectacular. It was one of the cosiest places we've ever stayed in, and it truly felt like home for the three nights that we spent there. There were so many things that were free to use whilst we were there too, which was very rare! Coco, the dog, was there to greet us too. Very cute! It was especially convenient that we had access to bicycles too, and everything in Joensuu was within a good distance to the apartment. If you like pizza, I ate the best pizza I've ever eaten in Finland at Pauliina Pizzeria, just a few minutes away. Hope to come back again! Kiitos hyvin paljon.

Set in Paltamo, Kotolinna, Kotomo Oy features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. The inn has a sauna and a shared kitchen. The whole town is in the middle of nowhere, even by Finnish standards. But then again, this is probably the appeal :) There is a train stop though on the Helsinki-Kuopio-Oulu line for Paltamo, which is about a 10 minute walk prom the property. There are big stores and a petrol station too nearby, and of course the river and the lake, which are beautiful. You can swim too, if you want. The property is a large and fairly luxurious private home by appearance, divided into some private bedrooms and generously large common areas, like kitchen and bathroom. All very clean at the time of my visit.

Kuopio Airport is 14 km away. this was like a time warp from the 1950s in every way - music played, friendliness and approachability of staff, service, everything. Even the fact that they were essentially "closed" on sunday. if you want to travel back in time but not compromise on comfort go to cafe asema.

The place was expectionally cozy. And the backyard was beautiful and relaxing. The room we stayed in was very neat, had it's own coffee maker, kettle, microwave oven and a small fridge and even a sink with a water tap. The Two quality beds could be combined for a queen-size bed and a the room had a large table with two nice chairs. The kitchen was big, and had everything you could need. The bathrooms were very big and clean and had nice showers. Overall the place exceed all our expectations and the owner even recommended everything a young couple in their mid-twenties would want to see and do in the city.
