An amazing chateau being lovingly restored. The owners made us feel very welcome and showed us around the property and the amazing work that they have done. The room was beautiful and quiet. Dinner was locally sourced ingredients, served by the pool and was exceptional. Strongly recommended.

Gîte de la Tournelle está en Pradelles, a 35 km de Catedral de Le Puy-en-Velay y a 36 km de Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe Church. Beautifully decorated, spacious, very central. Incredibly friendly and helpful host. Would happily stay here again, Pradelles was lovely.

Domaine du Parc está en Saint-Gérand-de-Vaux, a 25 km de Estación de tren de Moulins-sur-Allier, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. The fabulous room is located in an old farmhouse/ estate in a quiet village. The restored building is delightful. The host was wonderful and provided a great breakfast with many local jams and honey to try. The kids loved the big open spaces, the play area in the garden and the toys to play with. You'll need a car or bike to reach the place.

Chambre d'hôte Le jardin des Thermes se encuentra en Vichy, en la región de Auvernia, a 4,4 km de Hipódromo de Vichy. I had visited Vichy a few years ago and found it well worth a second visit. The guesthouse is situated in a fin-the-siècle (not the last one of course) villa just outside of the stunning spa complex and a few minutes' walk from the Allier river. Warm welcome by nice host who showed us around, Cosy, spacious room, nice lounge where you can prepare and eat your own meals. If there are other guests (there weren't) you share the lounge with them. Hygiene 100%. Good beds, shower a bit underpowered but nothing to complain about really. Adequate breakfast. Host would have been glad to look after our luggage until we left in the afternoon, but unfortunately had to leave for the day herself; her friend at the supermarket across the street was so kind to keep our bags, which is saying something about the atmosphere here. Easy, straightforward 15 minutes walk from the train station. Tip: follow the Avenue de Paris from the station and not the Gambetta as suggested by Google, not that it's bad but the Paris is much nicer and perhaps 10 seconds slower. Recommended.

Charming old house nicely refurbished. Excellent breakfast. Owner was friendly and informative and even found and returned the electrical converter plug we left in the room.
