Owner Michael Lawrence and his team offer a warm welcome to the Scottish Borders. Very personable and friendly team. Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on. Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy. The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.

Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere in the bar and friendly locals to chat to. Food was excellent. Much nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel chain. Great base to explore the Scottish borders.
