A recently renovated guest house set in Abergavenny, Park Lane Rooms features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The property offers allergy-free units and is located 49 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus. Margaret is such a pleasant and helpful host. Room was so well presented, clean, amazingly conformable beds, pillows and duvet and fab decor. This is better than virtually any hotel room I've stayed in and the attention to detail was beyond expectations. Great location, quiet too and off street parking. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Baskerville House, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Clyro, 48 km from Elan Valley, 6.1 km from Clifford Castle, as well as 13 km from Kinnersley Castle. This guest house provides free private parking and private check-in and check-out. Longtown Castle is 21 km away and Brecon Cathedral is 26 km from the guest house. Just a fantastic stay that had everything we were looking for: clean and comfortable room, very warm welcome and a personal touch as well as a brilliant and deliciously new prepared breakfast. Definitely recommend this absolute gem!

The units at the inn come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. The Ancient Briton provides certain units with mountain views, and all rooms are fitted with a kettle. The Ancient Briton was one of the best B&Bs we stayed at during our 2.5-week trip through the UK. The staff, rooms, food, and overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations. The building is old but tastefully refurbished. While some stairways are narrow and dim (a bit of a challenge with luggage), the rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and even featured unique plaster ceiling designs that gave them real character. The staff was outstanding. The woman who managed breakfast each morning (I wish I remembered her name) was especially wonderful—warm, attentive, and full of local tips. Thanks to her, we discovered the Red Kite Feeding Station in Llanddeusant, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. The pub downstairs is lively and welcoming, with excellent food and a friendly mix of locals. It does get busy in the evenings, but even as a party of six, we were always accommodated.

Located in Abergavenny and only 15 km from Longtown Castle, Deri-Down Guest House provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features quiet street views. The accommodation features full-day security and private check-in and check-out for guests. This is a family-run guesthouse which has been very nicely renovated. We booked 2 rooms which are on the 1st floor (not ground floor) so there's a short flight of stairs to contend with. The host was very welcoming and helped us with our luggages up the flight of stairs. They provided extras (eg. the bath had a brandnew bath sponge for our use) which we were not expecting and really made the place memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Just for information, the double room has a bathtub and small fridge (the twin room only has a shower and no fridge). I would book again if I was in Abergavenny.

Boasting a tennis court and views of mountain, James' Place at Brynawel is a guest house set in a historic building in Merthyr Tydfil, 37 km from Cardiff University. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. Cardiff Castle is 39 km from the guest house and Principality Stadium is 39 km away. We couldn't asked for a better place to stay, warming studio with very comfy bed and the view from our windows were amazing. There's plenty of shops/pubs within 10min walk from James place. We forgot to thank you for the lovely Wales cakes James. We certainly coming back!!! It was perfect! Highly recommended. Thank you so much James& family.

At the guest house, the units include a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Each unit is fitted with a kettle, while selected rooms also offer a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a microwave and a toaster. The units are equipped with heating facilities. Everything! I really enjoyed stay here. They also thought of the little things that really make a big difference to creating a lovely experience/stay. If I'm back in Merthyr Tydfil, I'll book here again. Next time I may hire a car though, so I can get to Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley for hiking. Because I only had a couple days, and taking public transport takes much longer, I unfortunately missed out on the hiking that one can do around this area

The guest house provides guests with a patio, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and a private bathroom with shower and bathrobes. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the guest house, all units come with bed linen and towels. Absolutely lovely spacious room , with use of a living room and pool table as well. Bed was four poster which was lovely and really comfortable. It's a tiny detail but I love having a proper sized mug in the room for hot drinks. All of the facilities were excellent. The owners were absolutely lovely, warm and welcoming and breakfast was exactly what we had requested and delicious.

Situated in Brecon, 47 km from Elan Valley, Plough and Harrow features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Located around 22 km from Clifford Castle, the inn with free WiFi is also 32 km away from Kinnersley Castle. The property is non-smoking and is located 7.6 km from Brecon Cathedral. It was like a home away from home. At first we were a bit concerned about the room and bathroom size but these were not an issue as we fitted without a problem. The ‘old pub feel’ was very relaxing, it was nice to come ‘home’ after a busy day sightseeing and relax in the lounge before dinner. Our host (Sue) was amazing and her suggestions for things to do were great - as were her breakfasts! At the end of our 4 day stay she felt like a friend.
