There are some steep stairs, but we never mind that. The host offered us some good advice and gave some local history about the area. There is a public sitting room right inside the front door. The bedroom was clean with two beds (not a sleeper sofa like some) and a big window facing the flats - a beautiful view. Everything was clean with a coffee/tea maker in the room. In the morning, they offered a big breakfast. Perfect for us and our adult daughter.

The property has sea and mountain views, and is 6.3 km from Trough of Bowland. The guest house features family rooms. It was a real old fashioned guest house where I was treated like an appreciated guest. The owner, but especially Ed, his right hand man, is a credit to his profession. I felt appreciated, my comfort and needs were all met and then some. And the breakfast omelette was superb, a delightful addition and treat. I wish every stop along my way was as pleasurable as the Craigwell was.
