The staff and family at the Guesthouse were so welcoming and friendly. They make it feel like a home away from home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the room was simple, clean and has everything you need. There's a restaurant across the road where I had a delicious outdoor dinner amongst other tourists and the Guesthouse is very close to the jetty and harbour for those indulging in the 17 Islands boat trips.

Alle kamers bij het pension hebben een eigen badkamer met een douche.... This was one the cleanest place I stayed in flores. The bathroom was very new and the place was very well taken care of. It was so nice to stay there after being in various other accommodations. The view is beautiful.

Staff is very polite and daughter of owners is so helpful and lovely. Room is perfectly clean, free breakfast is not big enough for big guy but it is really nice bonus as snack at the morning.

He helped us plan our boat trip flexibly, working around our schedule. The room was super spacious with air conditioning, and the building is pretty new.

Super helpful host, went far above and beyond what was necessary:) helped me organise my border crossing into timor leste and took many parcels for me. You won't find a kinder host.

Ruteng Glamping & Campsite ligt in Ruteng, en is voorzien van een tuin. Er is een terras en je kunt er gebruik van maken gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Amazing Place to stay. The warm welcome from the hosts and view is really incredible. I wasn’t feeling too well and they really took care of me and when I forgot something in the room. The host made sure I got it after I left. I would come back 100%

RIUNG LALONG TERONG Guest House ligt tegenover het strand in Riung en heeft een tuin en een terras. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean and there is a small seating area immediately outside the room on a tiled verandah where a lovely and filling breakfast is served. The aircon and mosquito net were both great. Most of all l received such a warm welcome from Tommy, his wife Chia and the grandparents who were all so friendly to me during my stay and helped me improve my Indonesian. Tommy was extremely helpful and kind - he went and got cold beer for me, gave me a few lifts, and organised a share car for me to Moni. I felt very happy and comfortable here and would come again. I stayed 3 nights in total Phone reception was good.

Hars Garden Sumba is gelegen in Waingapu en biedt een tuin. Er is gratis privéparkeren en de accommodatie biedt betaalde shuttleservice naar deze luchthaven. We had an amazing stay at Har's place. The location is nothing short of dreamy, with amazing views of the valley hills just in front. Har has constructed all the houses (I recall around 3-4 now) by himself, you can check on his IG for more detail on how he built them! All of them are really comfortable and unique, following the local architecture, blending with nature and each of them providing a different experience. Har is an expert and consultant on organic farming and produces his own veggies that he uses to cook the most fantastic breakfasts you will ever have, super yummy and different everyday, with the plus of overviewing the views directly from your stay. Don't forget also to order dinner from him, much better than eating anywhere else, every meal was amazing. Har always went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable, showed as around his plantation (he plants to reforest the area with a thousand fruit trees!) and the best: he gave us the best tips on the island, pointing spots that are not even in Google Maps and ready to explore. Think on pristine waterfalls, empty beaches, beautiful local villages, hills, etc. Please visit Har and Sumba before it gets ruined by the evils of mass tourism, and please visit with an open mind, it's raw, wild, authentic, and that's why is missing facilities compared with other destinations, but that what make it so unique and special.
