The place was clean, close to everything you need, a quiet oasis, it had a beautiful organic garden, and great mountain views. What more could one ask for?

At Honey Bee, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in Chinese cuisine. The property was central and everything was within walking distance. The building was attractive and warm, with exceptional customer care. We were treated very well by Pema the owner and his staff. The room was very clean and the food was good. Will return to the hotel again.

The units include a private bathroom with slippers, while some rooms also offer a terrace and others also have mountain views. At the guest house, the units have bed linen and towels.

A children's playground is also available at the guest house, while guests can also relax in the garden. Staff is very kindly and helpful, Buffet dinner is vegetarian food but you can order some chicken menu (extra charge in reasonable price).

The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.

The guest house is off the main roads but in a very good location. Has a calming atmosphere with a stunning garden with small tables and a tea table with free tea all day long.

Featuring mountain and garden views, this bed and breakfast also provides guests with free WiFi. The accommodation provides luggage storage space and room service for guests. Of the 10 nights I stayed in Ladakh, this was the best stay I've had. Phunsuk uncle and aunty are amazing hosts, very caring and helpful. The accommodation itself is in a calm, quiet area despite being <1km away from the main market. And the rooms are spacious, ventilated and very clean. Also a big thumbs up to the apricot jam served in the breakfast. If I visit Leh again, I'll look no further. Thanks for the hospitality :)
