For us Ashirvad Homestay was a welcoming and quiet refuge in an otherwise chaotic city. The location, a bit removed from the clutter near the river, is in an almost rural setting across the road from a park. Aman, the manager, was exceptionally helpful, changing money, arranging an airport transfer, setting up aboat trip and on Day One, negotiating a tuk-tuk for us. Trust me, if you do any of these activities, let Aman set them up for you.

We had contact to three very nice man from the Ashram. One of them gave us a short overview about what's around and told us a little about the history. One of them asked us every day if our room has to be cleaned and if everything is all right, and Tej prakash ordered a taxi for us, so we had an easy departure. We would absolutely recommend staying at this little oasis. :D

バラナシにあるMaa Durga Innはダシャーシュワメード・ガートから徒歩2分以内で、テラス、アレルギー対策済みお部屋、無料WiFiを提供しています。ハリッシュチャンドラ・ガットから約徒歩14分、アッシー・ガートから約2.8km、バラナシ・ジャンクション駅から約4.1kmの宿泊施設です。ルームサービス、24時間対応のフロント、外貨両替サービスを提供しています。... 何よりオーナーのヴィシュヌさんは、とても気遣いが出来てる素晴らし方です。見かける度に、困りごとはないかと聞いてくれます。 日本語も織り交ぜながら、コミュニケーションを図ってくれます。 場所はメインロードから少し入った所で初めて行くには分かり難いですが、ガンジス河から見てドルフィンレストランの左側の道を１分程度行った所なので、階段を上って行った方が分かり易いです。 マン・シン天文台の裏です。 メインガートにも数分で行け、熱々のシャワー、洋式のトイレと全てがインドクォリティを上回っていたと思います。 お腹の調子が悪くなりがちなインドでも、すぐにホテルに戻れる街の中心にある事はとても重要です。 また、私は使わなかったですが、ドライヤーのある宿はインドで初めてでした。 屋上は工事中でしたが、ガンジス河を見る事は出来ました。恐らく、あと数ヶ月は工事にかかると思いますが、さらに素晴らしい宿になるでしょう。 またバラナシを訪れた時は、また泊まらせていただきます。

My experience at Banaras Rest House was nothing short of perfect! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like family — warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Varanasi, just a short walk from the ghats and the Ganga. I loved waking up early and taking a peaceful stroll by the river. The rest house itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. My room was comfortable, well-ventilated, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out was the calm and homely atmosphere — a perfect escape from the busy streets outside. The rooftop view of the Ganges during sunrise was absolutely breathtaking, and the staff even helped arrange a boat ride that became one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re looking for an affordable yet truly authentic stay in Varanasi, Banaras Rest House is the place to be. I’ll definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting this incredible city! 🙏✨
