Mayuko-san and her family were so kind and friendly, it really made lifelong memories for our family of four, right down to our 7 year old. She cooked scrumptious dinner, and even accommodated for vegetarians. The shamisen and singing performance was fantastic, and she was even able to arrange last minute Shamisen lessons with her student, which was icing on the cake. The lodge itself is comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with good atmosphere, adequate heating, comfortable futon bedding, and good facilities. The location is also great, close to Tanesashi coast and many apple and fruit farms for fruit picking.

The café served an apple and ginger tea which was delicious.

We went up up a mountain to a beautiful viewpoint, and then explore other sides of the lake. So much beauty in this región.
