馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou está en Nakatsugawa, a 11 min a pie de Toson Memorial Museum, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. This was such a cool experience. The building is very nice. All the beautiful wood and features. Taking your shoes off at entree, sliding doors, gymnasium, kitchen. Amazing. Even more amazing was the staff. The explained every thing well, gave recommendations for food and travel. I even got lucky and hitched a ride back to Nakatsugawa, with a perfect pitstop at Hillbilly Coffee (highly recommend). I stayed here after walking Nakasendo Trail from Tsumago. Perfect place to stay after. Do not hesitate. Go here. Book!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The people working there are both friendly, helpful and caring, it felt like they had a genuine intrest in their guests. The common areas are clean and cosy with a relaxed vibe, and when I was there the guests interacted with each other so you could get to know new people if you wanted to. The place was also in walking distance to both the bus station, old part of town and to a shopping mall with a proper supermarket. If you dont want to walk, there is a 7/11 right next door, or there is the possibility to buy food and coffee at the place. If I come back to Takayama I would choose to stay here again

GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA se encuentra en el barrio de Magome-juku, en Nakatsugawa, cerca de Toson Memorial Museum. Dispone de wifi gratis y lavadora. Zuji es un excelente anfitrión. Habla japonés, francés y un poco de inglés. Llegamos al alojamiento por la noche y nos estaba esperando con un té caliente. Como era invierno y ya no había ningún establecimiento abierto para cenar, nos cocinó un curry con jabalí espectacular. Pagamos también el desayuno, que fue muy completo. También disfrutamos de su compañía, las charlas y de un juego de mesa. Zuji nos ayudó también a contratar un servicio de maletas para transportarlas hasta Tsumago y poder hacer la ruta Nakasendo. La ubicación del alojamiento es perfecta para hacer la ruta Nakasendo.

Guesthouse SHIGI se encuentra en Nakatsugawa, a 46 km de Gero Station, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. Well... That was an amazing stay guys! Atsushi was so nice and welcoming, speaking great English, and he drove me to Magome - the beginning of the trail. The house is a beautiful traditional house, very minimalistic and pleasant. Everything was so beautiful and comfortable! One thing you need to mind though - the village is very small, and there's nothing to do in the evening. Even finding open restaurants for dinner after 7pm is quite impossible

Only one group stays per day -Tenmaya-家族や仲間と貸し切りゲストハウス 天満屋, que cuenta con jardín, salón de uso común, bar y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Nakatsugawa, a 7,9 km de Mt. Una experiencia especial. La casa tiene su propia historia, no solo es antigua sino parte importante de la ruta Nakasendo. Aparte de eso, es muy muy comoda. Aunque las camas son capsula, al ser todo el alojamiento para nosotros fue muy comodo. El estanque es precioso y la ubicación inmejorable.

Guest House Hinode se encuentra en Takayama, a 2,6 km de Estación de Takayama y a 4,8 km de Localidad Museo de Hida Minzoku Mura, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, aire acondicionado, bicicletas... Very warm welcome at Hinode Guest House. Everything clean and very well organized. Full equipped kitchen, fridge and very clean bathroom. We strongly recommend it.

Guesthouse Nedoko está muy bien situado en el barrio de Magome-juku, Nakatsugawa, a 2 min a pie de Magome Observatory, a pocos pasos de Magome Wakihonjin Museum y a 1 min a pie de Toson Memorial... Un lugar muy cuidado muy limpio y bien atendido

Iwamura Guest House Yanagiya está en Ena, a 40 km de Korankei Valley, y dispone de alojamiento con aire acondicionado y jardín. Great location, the town is cute. The host was helpful and friendly.
