After staying in both chain and independent hostels in Japan, and elsewhere in the world, I have to say this was my favourite hostel experience. It truly felt like my friend and I had just been invited to a family member's home to stay for the night. It was such a lovely and cozy experience! The decor is whimsical, the kitchen is well-stocked, the showers and facilities are fantastic, and the room we stayed in was tatami and lovely. Whenever I am in the Toyooka area again, I will be returning to stay at Hostel Act :)

Japanese Guesthouse Kinosaki Wakayo (Female Only) is goed gelegen in de wijk Kinosaki Onsen in Toyooka, en ligt op 4,2 km van Seto Shrine, 4,8 km van North Disaster Earthquake Monument en 5,1 km van... Ik voelde me erg op mijn gemak in deze guesthouse. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen in deze traditionele Japanse woonst. De kamer was proper en je had genoeg ruimte. Daarnaast waren de twee host zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

This guesthouse is really cosy, clean, modern and confortable. We loved the location near the train station and near a really nice local market. I recommend this place!

The property itself is well equipped and you just bring in your stuff and can stay there for a short break like your home. The property itself is a detached single story traditional house, and is a live show case about local Japanese culture. The owner also displays promotion materials about the local environs which suitable for new comer like us in the local community. The property is a quiet place. Having said that, depends on your requirement of "quiet", the property is adjoining to a main county road which means cars are passing through day and night, though not frequent. The owner is a nice gentleman and willing at all time to give you a helping hand in providing advices in the local community such as traveling, dining and sight seeing. To a traveler, a clean, comfort and safe place to stay is essential to release of uncertainty. The property and the owner do this well.
