宿 ウラケラマ Urakerama ligt op 3 minuten lopen van Strand Maehama en 300 meter van Statue of Shiro, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een eigen badkamer in Aka. I loved how welcoming and hospitable the hosts were. I was picked up from Aka Port with my luggage and saved from a rain-soaked walk to the accommodation. Once settled, I was also given a lot of great advice to make the most of my time on the island, where to rent a bike, where to go for a drink in the evening, and the best beach to spot sea turtles. Not only was the place great, but the hosts made my time on the island even better. If I ever get the chance to go back, I'd happily stay here again.

We kregen een warm welkom bij aankomst. De kamer was fijn met een comfortabel bed. Het was handig/lekker om ontbijt te hebben, ook omdat je wat verder van het dorp af zit. Ook fijn om een wasmachine te kunnen gebruiken.

The host is a kind lady who is a local from the island and she makes homemade meals if would like to eat at the guesthouse. The place is clean in traditional Japanese style. The bed was a comfortable high matras. There is a ice cream machine and a coffee machine are available and as well equipment for snorkeling or chilling at the beach. Definitely recommend this guesthouse if you love peace and nature. Also I like the homemade smoothie with sweet potato and sesame seeds. Would recommend to go to the Furuzamami beach at this island for lively corals and fishes.

Kerama Backpackers ligt in Tokashiki, op 2,6 km van Strand van Tokashiku en 3,2 km van Teruyama Observatory. Kerama bp is a well organised guest house. It is very clean and well maintained. The owner offers free shuttles to the beaches and ferry pickup and drop off. The gh has a great shared kitchen area and nice dorms. There are schedules to follow to get where you want to go but is needed for the diff ferries and location drop offs. You do not need to follow the schedule but then you need to find your own way to the beaches etc.The owner also rents snorkelling equipment and other items at reasonable prices. The owner is great with communication and sends out a detailed email about ferry pickup etc once your booking is confirmed. Will be of great help to you if you read it before arrival.

Guesthouse Iyonchi ligt op het prachtige eiland Zamami, op 5 minuten lopen van de haven van Zamami. U wandelt in 15 minuten naar een strand. In de hele accommodatie is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. Great location and friendly staff! Gave us recommendations on where’s best to snorkel and we saw turtles straight away. Would definitely stay again next time.

Tokashiki Guest House is gelegen op 17 minuten lopen van Strand van Tokashiku en biedt een tuin en een terras. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een balkon en gratis WiFi. Such a stunning and remote location, yet not too far from either beach to walk. And wonderful service from the owner who was incredibly friendly and helpful!!

It was interesting that you got out to the terrace and there was your private toilet. I liked it, it was quiet and the location was great!
