The hostel was fantastic. We rented a tatami room, which was spotless, very comfortable and with a really nice view. The onsen was amazing, we absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, there were snacks, eggs to boil in the onsens in town and all cooking and serving tools to eat them afterwards. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. This was our favourite stay along the Kumano Kodo, despite being the cheapest.

The environment is cozy, clean and has everything you need. The common area is very warm and cozy. The room where I was was also quite spacious and had a shower and toilet. The staff is friendly and welcoming, as a solo traveller I enjoyed spending some time chatting with them and other people around. I had dinner there, and food and beer were really good! They also had great recommendations for food and places to visit. There is also a public bath nearby for which they provide towels and soap and entrance at discounted fee.

長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel se encuentra en Shingu, a 5 min a pie de Kamikura Shrine y a 700 metros de Kumano Hayatama Taisha. The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.

民宿 和合 Minshuku WAGO está en Tanabe, a 2 min a pie de Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art y a 29 km de Sala de Conciertos Kamitonda. The host is super friendly and speaks very good English. Our room and the bathroom facilities (used by only 1 other room) were very clean. Water boiler and microwave in the room. What we liked most was the relaxed atmosphere for dinner - the food was great and we got a chance to taste several typically Japanese dishes. So make sure to book with food if possible! At the beginning we found it a bit pricey, but in the end it was really worth it

Guest House Takiyoshi, que está a 14 km de Hosshinmon Oji Shrine y a 21 km de Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y baño compartido en Hongū. El personal, son una familia muy amable y atenta. La comida (cena y desayuno fenomenal). El onsen muy auténtico y los baños compartidos muy limpios.
