The property is non-smoking and is set 34 km from Kada Panaha Tank. Brand new rooms above a small restaurant. Welcoming and kind host family. Strong AC and beautiful view from the balcony. Be aware there is no hot water, but as we learned, this is fairly common in Sri Lanka. It’s on the main road, so there is some traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us. Dinner is also available with notice to the family.

The units include a outdoor furniture. I loved them, they are so nice and house is so clean and spaceuse. I had best food here. And they organized all the tours for me...make sure u book this place.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU is situated in Nochchiyagama. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The location is great, far from noise. It’s very calm and peaceful. The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

Kalhara made our stay perfect. He organized wonderful tours (safari, temples, dance show), and her wife prepared amazing breakfast and dinner! Everyday we had a different menu, always good and with Sri Lankan delicacies. The room was huge, spotless clean, with a very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, with a nice patio where we relaxed before dinner.. We had also a very nice walk close to the lake and ricefields, from the road in front of the hotel. We strongly recommend Swan lake to everyone wants to enjoy Habarana area

It’s very rustic and simple. AC is very functional. There were a few hiccups, but the outstanding staff addressed everything immediately. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious. There isn’t a lot to do in Habarana, but it’s a great location to stay if you want to visit the cave temple, Sigiriya, Miniriya and Polonnaruwa. The first three are less than 30 mins away. Polonnaruwa was a fast hour.

The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Probably one of our favourite stays in three weeks in Sri Lanka. The host family is absolutely lovely, and probably the best breakfast we ate in all our time! Fresh eggs, coconut pancakes, fruit and juices, tea, etc. and for dinner the most incredible rice and curry spread. Really quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of town, either a quick tuktuk in to the temples or via bicycle around the lake/reservoir - our hosts organised bicycles to be delivered to the homestay within a couple of hours of requesting them, so we could go around the temples at our own pace. We just went to the free temples but there is also a paid temple pass which gets you into a couple of the bigger structures. There are so many beautiful free ones to see we elected to leave this and didn't feel like we missed out - recommend splitting them between the afternoon/evening before and early morning the following day if you only have one night like us, to avoid the worst of the heat and minimise temple fatigue! Highly recommend staying at this lovely guesthouse.

The room is very comfortable, has AC and everything is very clean. Upali was very kind and attentive, he picked me up at the train station and also took me on several excursions. The breakfast is excellent, Upali's wife is an excellent cook and you are treated in the best way. I highly recommend it!
