The staff was very polite and professional, the lady at the check in recognised while checking my passport that it is my birthday, so she allocated us on the top floor 🥰 Thank you for this. The room is very clean, has everything you need and the location is very good as well. As a person from Europe I found it interesting to use the advanced toilet haha

Wonderful hotel, love the unique designs in every room. The quadruple room was perfect for my family, the kids loved the extra playroom space. Love the clean water dispenser and mini kitchen on each floor as well as the 24 hour snack room on the second floor. Each aspect of the decorations and room features are thoughtfully designed, including the light control switch by the bedside. Staff are wonderful, helpful and polite. This was the best accommodation of my trip to Taiwan. Would highly recommend!

A Touch of Zen is a fantastic place to stay in Kaohsiung. It was our first time in Taiwan and neither my partner nor I speak Mandarin so it was especially helpful that the hosts are fluent in English. They provided maps and answered questions about things to do in Kaohsiung (which there's a ton - it's a great place to visit). The guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lotus Pond and the surrounding temples - a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride or taxi to the High Speed rail station (which of course gets you easily to Kaohsiung from Taipei). If you love film A Touch of Zen is a special treat because the tasteful Japanese decor (the building is a former naval home - traditional Japanese construction) includes some fun film props - and the chance to watch something on Netflix projected in the common area. While we were there the hosts kindly set up a movie for us to watch. The area of the guesthouse itself is great to walk around with wonderful places to eat close by. The beds are comfy with tea and water at your disposal. All around a wonderful place to stay.

Peng Peng created an incredible home made breakfast - healthy and delicious! Very comfortable and clean accomodation with thoughtful attractive decor. Highly recommend staying here! We enjoyed it as a family of 4
