Closeness to the Sandy Bay natural beach was a big plus!

Absolute Gem of a property, my fiance and I loved the location and the amenities. The view is incredible especially near the pool for sunsets. We had an amazing dinner prepared by the chef and it was exceptional. The staff were amazing. I will be coming back again to this beautiful beautiful home!

Danie and Janni are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. They make you feel instantly at home and will do everything they can to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible – AND they make the most delicious breakfast!! We have stayed at other places in Hout Bay but this is definitely our favorite which is why we now keep coming back.

The pool area, dining room, lounge and library are beautiful too and we were made to feel so 'at home'. EVERYTHING is of the highest quality and EVERYWHERE is immaculate. Huge thanks to Jan and Evelyne who are superlative hosts, so charming and so efficient with great knowledge of the area. Serving the most delicious breakfasts including perfect poached eggs and omelettes, helping with recommendations for restaurants and adding many personal touches that made our stay so memorable. From homemade biscuits, a cellar of superb wines and a handy phone charger by the kettle to Christmas gifts and music on Christmas morning and an invitation to a braai on our last night. The best hotels just cannot match the style, charm and serenity of Bluemari's Retreat. If you are planning to stay near Cape Town, you must stay here!

This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. Marvelous view. Very spacious and clean apartment. Very kind and helpful hosts. Super comfortable beds and couches. Bathtub. Fast and reliable internet. Backup electricity for load shedding. Welcome snacks, fruits and wine. Very steep driveway which was quite entertaining to drive :) A word of warning though: some cars (long, or with low suspension) might have problems going up the driveway.

This guest house is allergy-free and non-smoking. Safe and quiet location. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Lisa was excellent at communicating before my arrival and accommodating our late check-in.
