Situated at the top of the hills overlooking the sea, Algar Seco Parque offers comfortable air-conditioned apartments with access to outdoor pools just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Carvoeiro, Algarve and its idyllic beach. I loved everything about this resort! Its situation gave for breathtaking views, and the layout of this spotless Portugeuse style accommodation was perfect. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Each bungalow had a clear view of the ocean. We will be back. Thank you to all staff at Sego!

California Dream Inn offers a bar next to the pool and a fitness centre in Aljezur. It is located within Southwest Alentejo Natural Park and a 5-minute drive from Monte Clérigo Beach.

California Dream Inn include a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor dining area. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. We had our own giant terrace, and inside, it was beautiful. Truly felt like a little Califonia Hills mansion. The pool and BBQ facilities were great, and the host was super friendly and helpful.

Surrounded by lush gardens, Monte da Lagoa consists of 8 restored farm houses offering spacious studios and apartments. It is just 5 minutes from Altura’s beach.

Lagoa’s studios and apartments have a kitchen with a microwave and a separate dining area. The living area has a sofa and TV, while some also open out onto a patio. Rooms are decorated with bright colours and artwork. It was a very clean and nicely decorated studio. The towels were fluffy and nice. Above all, the owner was very sweet and attentive and extremely accommodating having received us so late in the evening.

About one km from Castelo and Evaristo Beach, Vila Joinal offers bright duplex villas surrounded by landscaped garden and lush palms. The villas feature patios opening onto the pool area.

A large living area with kitchen, and 2 spacious bedrooms sharing a full bathroom are featured in each villa. The outdoor dining area is equipped with a stone barbecue and loungers. It had everything we needed. Good location and restaurants within walking distance. Would love to come back some day.

O Pomar in Cabanas by Wave Algarve is located 800 metres from a sandy beach in Cabanas. It features shaded loungers by the outdoor pools and modern, self-catering apartments with a balcony and free WiFi. Spotless. Well equipped. Location was fantastic. Views were amazing.

The spacious accommodation at Apartamentos Os Descobrimentos features a generous living area with a fireplace. There is a kitchen with microwave, while free WiFi is available in all areas. It is exactly as described on booking.com. The views are fabulous from all apartments and the apartment itself was immaculate. The kitchen and bathroom are newly refurbished while the rest has an older look but they complement each other well and it feels like home away from home. The couple that own the place are extremely helpful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and they provided a cot for our baby. We had hot water all day and the facilities inside the apartment were perfect for every need. If you’re looking for comfort, good value and stunning location then you’ve come to the right place!

Located on a hill 300 meters from the Atlantic beaches, Moradias Villas Rufino offers self-contained contemporary accommodation. The property is surrounded by gardens and features an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Quiet and calm property, with a great sea view. Pool was wonderful (more that 20x12m and 2m deep in one end). Nice restaurants in walking distance, and a great supermarket (Apolonia) within 2 minutes by car. Grill on the terrace, for home BBQ and star gazing. We will be back!
