The location of this IHG Holiday Inn Express is good, with a convenience store and gas station steps away, and it's a close drive to downtown Charlottesville. The breakfast was well-supplied, however the attendant could have been more alert when the supply was low. Room is comfortable and clean, with refrigerator, microwave, but the air conditioning took a long time for the manually operated thermostat to adjust to a lower temperature; July/August weather in Charlottesville, VA was typically hot and humid.

Breakfast had a nice selection of foods to eat. The beds were very comfortable and room was quiet.

I've been having to stay in Charlottesville for work training. The bed here at Holiday Inn Express has been the most comfortable. The room was very spacious and breakfast was INCLUDED, this was the first hotel I've had a free breakfast included with my stay in Charlottesville.
The staff... VERY FRIENDLY!!!! Everyone said hi or good morning or even excuse me as they passed in the hallway carrying big boxes. Front desk staff was helpful when I'd realized I'd forgotten a few items also.

I highly recommend this place. Location is perfect and away from the hustle and bustle of the university area. Wawa was closed by and is 24hrs open. Hotel looks new and the rooms, bed, toilet and facilities smells and looks clean. Breakfast was plenty from 6-10am. Eggs, sausages, potatoes, gravy and pancakes. Ive been to other hotels and Holiday Inn is by far the best ive been to. Staff were friendly, Tina,who kept the breakfast area tidy and topped up. Plenty of parking as too. Well done!

Charlottesville as a whole was lovely. We wouldn’t mind returning there to explore instead of just passing through.
IHG was well maintained, modern and welcoming. It was charmingly decorated for the December holiday season - they even had a Hot Chocolate bar!
The best part of the property was the staff. All very professional and friendly.
