It was a very unique experience, the host was excellent. The whole place is very coherently decorated with adds to uniqueness. You can also park your car inside (they have a little parking for app. 3 cars) which is important in a town with such narrow streets. Breakfast was fresh, not super big but you certainly won't leave the place hungry. The views from the rooms are second to none. Highly recommended!

When I booked, I actually didn't know that a Republica is a student house but for me (solo traveller who wanted to explore Ouro preto and surroundings) it was perfect. The boys who live there are super lovely and helpful. The house is usually peaceful and quiet. The location of the house is awesome right next to Praça tiradentes. Towel was a bonus :)
