Great location for Kelimutu. Very sweet landlady. In nice weather, you have a balcony looking over the whole village. There’s a very atmospheric bar/restaurant about five mins away that does really good live music. We got invited to a local holy communion which was a crazy introduction to local culture. Very welcoming local community.

Big room, nice outdoor shower, the host prepared dinner/bbq for all the guests together and gave us many information about their culture ect. Everything is really clean, they took us to the Kelimutu in the morning, breakfast is nice. Everything was perfect! :)

Billy is a wonderfully kind host and he is also diligently trying to always make the place better. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and you can fall asleep to the sound of river outside! Travellers should try to be understanding of the general limitations in the area (e.g. no WiFi, low water pressure, occasional power cuts) and we would recommend minimising plastic waste too. We also enjoyed the day trip that was organised for us :)

Hans, Emelda & family really made us feel like we were at home - from inviting us to their Son’s celebration one evening, tending to our injuries after we took a fall, arranging buses for us, and organising for their Nephew Anton to show us around his village.
