A home away from home, Cecilia’s place is very well located to visit the Nilgiris in upper Coonoor there is a commercial street 15 min walking, and we felt very welcome with good tips and help from Cecilia we couldn’t feel more at ease ! Would 100% recomand her place

The cottage rooms are in the middle of Devashola Tea Plantation, completely remote and a beautiful drive from Coonoor. We were lucky enough to be the only guests at the time, Ashwin, Santhosh and the team looked after us so well, they sorted out everything for us, tasty home cooked food, a sunrise hike, a jeep tour through the plantation, a hammock and even a bonfire in the fire pit on our last evening!

Fantastic accommodation with great staff. Excellent breakfast even doing something extra for my wife's dietary needs. Bit out of town but simple to use auto rickshaws to & from. Beautiful sunsets, quiet location. Your host is well aware of guest's requirements based on his work in international travel.

The location of the guest house was excellent. Coonoor town itself is quite hectic but while the guest house is only a few minutes drive away it is much calmer. A couple minutes walk away is an amazing large park (sims park) which as well as being great for adults has a large children’s park which our son enjoyed playing with the local children in. The manager is super helpful and friendly. All the staff enjoyed entertaining our son as he played outside. The communal seating and dining table were perfect for relaxing in the evening. One night I watched a big football match on my iPad using the WiFi with no problems. Food and drinks were prepared whenever needed and were both good quality and reasonably priced. We did a tour of the local sights and took the train to Ooty. This train is famous and the main reason we wanted to visit the area but we found it to be a great place to visit for so many other reasons too. The manager organised us a good car and driver to take us all the way to Mysore when we left. He even arranged for the driver to collect us with all our luggage and then drop us at the train station so we could enjoy the mountain railway to Ooty leaving all the bags in the car. When we arrived in Ooty the car was waiting for us to take us to Mysore. We will definitely return in the future if we pass this way again.

The stay was very nice. Comfortable home stay away from home. At hotel you can just stick to your room but since this is a home stay it gives you the experience of staying in a home with a private lawn at a tourist destination. Great stay. Prasanth of Sunset Villa was more like a family, rather than professional host. Food was homely and delicious. Owner is a great host.

Staff was not cooperative.... very expensive and breakfast was also not complimentary. Toiletries were not available.... I guess I paid four thousand for night... I have seen better home stay at lesser price.
