The stay was incredibly calm and serene, offering a much-needed escape from the rush and noise of everyday life. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful atmosphere and the natural surroundings made us feel relaxed and refreshed. One of the highlights was definitely the food, each meal was thoughtfully prepared using organic vegetables grown on their own farm. The freshness and flavor were evident in every bite, and it added a special, personal touch to the entire experience. Overall, our time here was truly wonderful, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway.

We spent some lovely days with Surendra’s and Meena’s family. They are very welcoming and warm-hearted and we felt at home right away. If you choose to stay with them, what we highly recommend, you will have a nice and very clean room with comfortable and also really clean beddings. The room has an AC and a Ventilator and is nicely decorated. They invited us often to join them in the common space (outdoor floor in front of the rooms) and spent time together. We danced together, got a lesson how to make chapati, learned new things about the culture and chilled together. We also got the opportunity to wear Sarees and they helped wrapping us in :) One day one of us wasn’t feeling well and they were very caring. If you want, you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner for some extra cost - and it’s very good. If you are still not sure if that’s your accommodation for Orchha here is another plus point for Homes of India: Ashok who helps the families organise the homestays, is also for the visitors a big help. He gave us recommendations for activities around Orchha (for example to rent a bicycle and explore the nearby sanctuary which was really nice), booked the auto rides from and to the train station in Jhansi and also helped us get train tickets for our next travel stop. He replied very fast after every request or question from us and he is very reliable. I hope we already made our recommendation for their homestay clear, if not here it is: we recommend it :)

What a wonderful place. Great hosts and great accommodation.

Value for money. Clean rooms and friendly hosts. The location is good for visiting the Orchha group of Monuments.

This is a hidden gem, located on the banks of the river Betwa. The house is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are spacious and comfy. Although we arrived late, we could enjoy a hearty dinner of dal and rice with some salad and chapatis. The vegetables are organically grown on this 4-acre farm. We highly recommend this place. You can combine a visit to Ochhra with the peaceful environment on the river bank.

Very clean and specious room, beautifully decorated homestay. The breakfast was delicious, little far from main city but the place is extremely beautiful. Thanks to host, had a wonderful walk in the little hill behind the homestay. The owner and staff was extremely helpful and take care of everything I needed. Looking forward to visit again.

Their rooms were very new. Beds were excellent, specially blanket. The behaviour of their staff was excellent.
