We chose this property for its convenient access to Tsukechi and Yumori. Sakashita and the property are located near the main road, making it easy to find. Although we initially reserved one room, we were pleasantly surprised to have access to the entire house. It’s a lovely traditional home—old yet well-maintained. The host was wonderful and incredibly friendly. Overall, everything was great, and we had a delightful stay.

My family loved our stay here and were sad to leave. Beautiful, traditional-style guesthouse, with our own external courtyard. Located along the old Nakasendo, amidst lots of old shops. Just across the street from a traditional confectioner’s and sake brewery.

The location was very good, the room was on the small side but very nice and clean. We slept very well on the futon beds. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner and breakfast twice. The food was so good! The dinner and breakfast seems the same or similar always, but because we had dinner twice, we got a different dinner on the second day.

Ultra clean and convenient from Nakatsugawa station, as well as facilities that were very nice and fulfilled every purpose. A member of my group left an item in our room when we left and the owners went well out of their way to get it back to us safely upon request. Very good customer experience :))

Wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately I stayed only for 3 nights. I wish I could stay longer. House is very spacious and very clean. Also very warm for cold nights. It’s a perfect place for long walks and great for someone who need a break from cities. Not that far from train station or big supermarket (half an hour walk). This stay was just amazing. Our host was so kind and the meals he had prepared were delicious. The products were fresh and you couldn’t make them more local : the mushrooms we had in our soup were taken directly from his garden. Moreover, the room were really cozy and comfy as well the sauna. I really recommend it if you want to see the Japanese countryside and enjoy a relaxing stay
