Wonderful cabins in the forest very quiet and relaxing cool swim in the river. The staff were very kind and helpful when I had a migraine. They made the food more spicy for my husband. The owner is very helpful and interesting to talk too, they have done a great job of keeping the place part of the jungle. They organised a safari for us which was really nice we didn't see too many other jeeps and even managed to see a leopard.

Wonderful place, quiet farmhouse in the middle of a agricultural fields and close to the national park. The facilities are brand new, rooms was super clean and bed was confy. We had the opportunity to cook our meal with Sajith, the care taker. Great experience overall, we will come back definitely!

We had an amazing experience in Wikpattu Mooklan Resort! The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!

Riswan and his family are so hospitable and proud to introduce you to wonderful Sri Lankan food, traditional life and wildlife. A very peaceful setting next to the river and rice paddy fields. Monkeys played in the tree beside my treehouse, and I could watch fishermen patiently catch fish from my balcony. Everyone is so friendly. I took a nice walk to a wetland area just 15 mins walk and saw birds, monkeys and a mongoose. Riswan will arrange everything for you - meals, transport, food, safari, its all very easy, just let him know what you want. A very special thanks to "Auntie" for her amazing coffee, so no worries if you crave caffeine, strong, black, sweet and delicious.

Our stay in this guesthouse was simply lovely. Giida is a great, warm and friendly host - and a great cook! We had dinner twice and it was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s! We got hot coffee (even at 5:30 in the morning) and water and enjoyed the hammocks and the garden. The facilities are simple and functional and overall the guesthouse offers great value for money. Don't hesitate and book your stay here - it's amazing.

Of you are looking for a calm and relaxing place in the middle of nature with amazing food, come to this spot. However a basic accomodation, it is very clean and had al the necessities. There are options for safari, and we even got some amazing photographs of the experience after, that our guide (who knew the park so well and could tell us all about the animals!) took with his camera. We took the school bus to the junction to continue our travels at 6:15, and our hosts even provisies is with a cup of coffee before we left, how caring and nice!
