I stumbled upon this accommodation by chance, but I absolutely loved it. The place isn't large, but it is very comfortable and cosy. I did enjoy the breakfast. The B&B is on the outskirts of Meppel, so it is easy to walk in nature. The room is clean, and the bathroom is nice. The rooster mentioned in the description woke up at a reasonable time, so I did not mind at all.

Great location and great host! Roel stayed up to let us have a late check in and then also dropped us to Giethoorn the next morning. Such a warm and kind person like his dog Sev.

Grieke provided a fantastic array of freshly homemade baked bread, cheeses, packaged meat, biscuits, cereals (including low sugar), yoghurts, eggs and, best of all, freshly made juices, with all the healthy goodness. Good coffee was a given. That made for a great stay, in an ideal location, with a friendly, homely environment, with a clean and spacious room that's easy to work from and has a green view across their garden, a very spacious, clean and naturally lit bathroom with various amenities provided, plenty of clean towels and a quiet house that allowed for a great night's sleep. I will for sure be back.

I recently travelled for work and stayed at this hotel booked through Booking.com. I must say, the experience was fantastic. The location was convenient, as it wasn't far from both the train station and the office. The room itself was cosy and just the right size for my needs. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. I encountered a problem during my stay when I realised I had lost my passport. The staff went above and beyond to assist me in resolving the situation. They treated my predicament as if it were their own, showing genuine concern and offering their full support. They even generously offered me to stay for free until I could sort out my documentation. Their kindness and willingness to help during a stressful time were truly remarkable. Based on this exceptional level of service, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The staff's genuine care and friendliness made a significant difference to my overall experience.

I wanted to experience the town, and staying here felt like being a resident. It's very nice and homey and is on one of those ridiculously beautiful roads, on a perfect walking distance to the city center. I stayed really short, visiting for work, but I will definitely come back.
