Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

An amazing piece of heaven located in Santa Comba Dão. Every little detail is well thought. The room was spacious, comfortable and very zen; the staff was accommodating and extremely helpful; breakfast comes in a little basket and you can decide if you want to eat in your room or outside (loved this); and the outside area is beautiful, with amazing views and a cozy decoration. The complementary local wine bottle, water and coffee were a very nice touch. Thank you Casa Branca, I will definitely come back🤍
