The Safari villa was the perfect stay for my first Solo traveling experience! I always felt at home and welcomed, the dorms are nice. You get everything you need and the breakfast was my favorite! I could manage everything with the help of the hostel owners and after some weeks it felt like a second home.

The host, innocent, helps everyone with everything! He made sure I felt safe and also provided laundry service and a lift to the airport. Kindest & most helpful staff I’ve met on my travels! There is always someone there to help you. Very comfy beds & there’s hot water, teas, coffees & cold drinks to buy. If I ever return to Arusha this is where I’d stay again:)

This place is yet to be discovered and get the recognition it deserves. The location is not very great, but you forget that fact soon as you enter the compound because it is quite beautiful, with amazing customer service. The design of the property is simple, modern and elegant with a mini-pool to boot. I loved the mezzanine design (which reminds me of Heritage Collection Skylight in Singapore :) and the well thought out interior, including a mini-bar fashioned dining area, well furnished kitchen, a huge smart tv infront of a comfortable couch. The staff were also super helpful and went out of their way to make you comfortable.

The property went above my expectations, it was almost a private villa you'd probably get nowhere in Arusha in that price range. Even my safari guide was puzzled as to how I discovered it. Don't let the lower number of reviews take you elsewhere, it opened in 2023. There's a private garden, lush and manicured with perfection, a balcony, two roof top terraces to enjoy 360deg view of the area and not to forget clear view of Mt Meru, and it's immaculately clean throughout the property. To top it off, the staff was the kindest and most helpful bunch of people, I was blown away by the hospitality of Walter and Jackson who helped me with SIM card, restaurant suggestions, even helping recovering our power bank we left at the SIM store. They made every efforts to make our stay memorable. Definitely coming back here if in Arusha next.

We definitely recommend OYA Guest House and can’t wait to come back on our next mission! The rooms were impeccably clean, the bed was the most comfortable of our entire journey, and the homemade food prepared by Jacky was exceptional.     I really loved my stay here - Innocent is a great host, always going an extra mile to help or accommodate his guests. As it was my first time in Tanzania, he made it much easier for me to get used to it, helped arrange transportation, order food from delicious local restaurant etc. Also breakfast served was delicious!
