Thank you so much for letting us stay at Hill House! The host was really friendly and gave us every morning and evening black tea and fresh Bananas. Our room was exactly what we expected and everything was new. The big window next to the bed was so cool and we were able to have the most stunning view every morning. It was truly magical.

I only intended to stay one night in transit and ended up staying four nights. It was so wonderful to stay with Tan and her family, you really felt a part of it. Tan was so helpful and lovely and is raising two great kids - and six puppies! It's a beautiful location to cycle, hike and chill. Thanks for everything Tan :)

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. A true oasis. The owner and his team are really amazing hosts that will make you feel very welcome and are eager to show you around the area. The area hosts a large number of tropical plants, artwork and many little details and surprises. Our double room was very spacious, clean, with a very high roof, fan as well as AC. You can rent bicycles from the place and there is plenty to see in the vicinity. Even though the place is a bit further away than the Mai Chai main town, it was a very good decision as you are also away from the more touristy parts, surrounded by rice fields and nature, and you can buy groceries in the nearby village if needed. Also, there's a public bus to the Mai Chau town every 15 minutes or just take a taxi. Having read some of the comments from some years ago it is clear that there have been several improvements, e.g. the pool is perfectly clean, and there are several food options you can select.

The host was amazing and super helpful, in the room and also in the whole house was very cozy and with very beautiful and interesting interor, great view, good location- distant from loud party spots, but still in a short walk distance to everything. Absolutely beautiful scenery from the balcony and from the restaurant. The location is perfect in the middle of Mai Chau. You can use free grandma style bikes. A carp pool in the middle of restaurant. Food is very good at the restaurant. Clean rooms with AC and a cabin shower. For me this kind of homestay is perfect.

The homestay is in a lovely location in the middle of Ban Lac village, sorprended by rice field and mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable, mine had a nice terrace where you could sit and relax. The whole family were lovely hosts, always there to help and give advice on the best things to do in the area or just what dish to try at the local restaurants.i used the free bicycles provided to cycle round the area.

Feels like home. The family of the owner who has a home stay beside are so accommodating and lovely. We are always having our dinner with the family from the next house. There’ s this lovely lady every morning who always gives us fruit and gives us a positive vibes and always trying to help us even if we only have our conversation in Google translate. The next time I will be in Mai chau , I will stay here again or the next house’s homestay( Mai Chau Home Holiday Homestay ) which is there family as well.

Blown away with this incredible homestay. The hosts pick you up from the shuttle bus drop off and get you immediately set up. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Wifi was excellent. The bed was great and both the AC and water heater worked a treat. The morning breakfast provided is very good with a few options. They’re also nearby other home stays with good food if you’re feeling more variety. The dinner was excellent and had a lot of options. It’s a beautiful area to explore and the location is unbeatable.

Wonderful homestay in Mai Chau. The host family were super lovely. Our room was very clean, modern, lovely design. View of the rice paddies was fantastic! Excellent food for dinner and breakfast. While we were there, they were doing a bit of work on the site, renovating some bungalows and we are so keen to come back and stay again when they're all finished! We were discussing when we could come back before we'd even left!

A wonderful homestay with a fantastic view. Quiet and peaceful, warm-hearted locals, delicious food. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
