Really beautiful and cosy place in the heart of Berat. We were a bit worried coming by car because of the narrow streets, but as soon as we turned onto the street there was easy parking right out the front. The villa is gorgeous and the room and interior has a really homey feel to it. Mira was absolutely lovely, greeting us upon arrival and answering all our questions. The location couldn't be better, as it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the boulevard but still walking distance (5-10 mins max) to everything. The highlight was the amazing breakfast on the terrace, with arguably the most stunning view of the city. Would highly recommend this place!

The family didn't speak much English, but they were very nice and we were able to communicate anyways. The room was exactly as the pictures, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ok.

So long as you're relatively fit, the steep climb through Mangalen is well worth it to enjoy the historical splendour of this area. The accommodation is not far from the top, where there are open top cafes/restaurants with panoramic views. Further below, several more restaurants (especially like the one with a wine bell). The property overlooks Berat new town with its huge and busy promenade. The owner is a professor who has studied Albanian history and staying here encompasses a lot of that history. The hosts are lovely and passionate about their Albanian heritage. The room has a very comfortable and large double bed, with good aircon and wifi. There is a communal lounge with tea/coffee making facilities.

Location, host, breakfast. The welcoming. The location is near the city center but 30min walking to the castle. You have a parking spot and for breakfast we had an omelette, toast, olives, and figs.

Guesthouse Noke heeft gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en kamers met airconditioning in Berat. Het pension heeft familiekamers. Lekker ruim, netjes, schoon. Locatie lag op loopafstand van het oude centrum. Lastig vindbaar, maar met contact met de verhuurder kom je er vanzelf.

Oda e Skulptorit-UNESCO quarter bevindt zich in Berat en biedt een gedeelde lounge. Het pension heeft familiekamers. Alle kamers bij het pension hebben een kledingkast en een flatscreen-tv. Wat een geweldig familiehuis. We werden door het echtpaar verwelkomt en gelijk rondgeleid door het mooie trappenhuis en de eetruimte boven. We kregen uitgebreid uitleg over de zelfgemaakte kunstwerken die overal hingen. Heel bijzonder. De kamer was klein maar fijn, het ontbijt met liefde gemaakt. De locatie van het huis kan niet beter: het heeft prachtig uitzicht over de oude stad (terwijl je zelf ook in een oud gedeelte verblijft) en alles te belopen via de oude steegjes.

Vila Spahiu heeft gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en biedt uitzicht op de bergen in Berat. Ada is an amazing host and her hotel is not only beautiful but perfectly located in Berat. The view from the terrace, where we also had a delicious breakfast (and good and strong coffee), is absolutely stunning! The room was nice and clean with a modern interior. We would definitely come back and are a bit sad we only got to stay for one night. Thank you for everything Ada!
