Casa Esperanza is met de tram vanuit het centrum van Basel in 5 minuten te bereiken, biedt gratis WiFi en heeft een gemeenschappelijk terras met zitgelegenheid. Overall, a great experience. I was met by Kai, who took me to my room, and explained everything, including with a lever-arch file of notes. He checked that I had everything I needed, and then left. I didn't need to contact him, but I had all his contact details in case I did. It's a large enough room with beds, a table and a well-enough equipped kitchen, and a fan in case it gets a bit hot. There is enough hanging space in the cupboard. The bathroom is shared with another room (I knew that at the time of booking), and that might not suit everybody, but it was perfectly fine with me. The location is great: about 2-3 blocks from a tram intersection for the Number 1 tram that goes to the main station and to the Messe Convention centre. Other trams are also there, but I did not use them. There are also two largish grocery stores in the vicinity of the tram station.

The property is in a great location, easy access to old town. We were on top floor in room described as family room. The room actually has 2 rooms within it, so one massive bedroom/ living room area with fridge and coffee maker, and the second being a separate single room. Beautiful bathroom as well. Very peaceful, exceptionally clean, spacious and lovely decor.

It is located near the station, ground floor. A beautiful and comfortable room, great shower / toilet facilities; I loved the kitchen; and the cherry on top - the cutest balcony overlooking a serene green spot, the perfect place to read, write and enjoy.

The neighbourhood is quiet and it is reasonable near Basel SBB which has train connections to other cities in Switzerland. A very nice experience!

In the rooms, there are towels and blankets; the bed is very comfortable, the heating works well, and there are blackout blinds that darken the room nicely. There’s also a coffee machine — a bit unusual to use, but the instructions are provided. The apartment is modern, new, tidy, and actually very close to the city center. It has good public transport connections and is located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Definitely a great find for the money :) Many thanks to the hosts!
